About The Professional Payroll Manager

The Professional Payroll Manager was founded by Louise Vidler, a 25+ year veteran of Payroll Management and the owner of a few small businesses along the way.

Louise started her blog in 2012 under the banner of the Australian Payroll Professional and in no time at all, her posts went global.  Her articles have been republished by multiple payroll associations around the world and in payroll specific magazines.

Now The Professional Payroll Manager is a business in itself and serves four distinct markets:

  • Corporate exposure of compliance, efficiency and service excellence opportunities
  • Small to Medium Enterprise HR & Payroll compliance made easy, with a suite of online tools & resources
  • Continuing to write and source resources for payroll professionals who are seeking to elevate their payroll services and develop themselves
  • Assisting individuals at the receiving end of sub-standard payroll service with advice and avenues for resolution

The primary focus of The Professional Payroll Manager blog is to improve the professionalism of Payroll Managers and their teams, in payroll, business and leadership.

The goal is to motivate and resource payroll professionals to become service oriented, efficiency and compliance focussed and pro-active in managing the payroll function to ensure the reliability, integrity and governance of the payroll function, in turn gaining respect and trust from all stakeholders.

A paradigm shift is required of the payroll function from a non productive, bureaucratic cost centre, to a vital, cost efficient, service excellence driven, value adding information resource centre that operates within best practice systems.
